Thank you so much for taking a moment to let us briefly introduce ourselves to you. Bevin was born and raised in Zimbabwe as an MK (missionary kid) and Judy was born and raised in Okinawa Japan as an MK (military kid) and Mathias is our beloved son who just turned 14!
We have been serving with Youth With A Mission or YWAM for 30 years. And you may know that YWAM is a global missions movement of over 18,000 volunteers supported and sent and supported by friends and family. There is YWAM staff in just about every country around the world. For 15 years we had the privilege of serving on the leadership team of a large campus in Colorado Springs that was focused on equipping, sending, and sustaining missionaries to reach the most unreached peoples in the world.
Speaking of unreached peoples, did you know that there are over 7.5 billion people on the earth and that today, there are still over 3 billion who have little to no access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. You could say it this way… “86% of all Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists do not know a Christian”
“86% of all Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists do not know a Christian”
No access to the gospel. Gospel deprivation is also an injustice.
So we’ve been working together with our ministry partners to try and change this. Countries like America will continue to send missionaries and that is great! But God has been shifting our focus to coming alongside the new workers he’s rising up from new sending nations. God is transforming the mission field into the mission force.
God is transforming the mission field into the mission force.
In this season we are based in Chiang Mai, Thailand and we are so grateful to be a small part of what God is doing as He continues to raise up new missionaries from in and from Asia. One of our roles is serving with the Asian Leaders Learning Community (ALLC). which is a YWAM leadership development initiative. We are serving as the Mobilization Circle Leader for YWAM Frontier Missions which the part of YWAM focused on church planting among unreached people groups. We also founded GlobalCAST Resources and the School of Missions Advocacy (SOMA) which is now registered as an Extension Studies Course with the University of the Nations through uofn4all.org in Penang, Malaysia.
A highlight of our last two years was coming alongside a dynamic YWAM campus in Battambang Cambodia that is functioning as a training hub because of its location in the midst of four of the remaining communist countries. They have a vision for starting a mission movement in and from Cambodia. So two of the young leaders that we have been mentoring and coaching invited us to help pioneer the first school of missions there. And what an amazing time that was to invest in these young leaders and out of that School of Missions. There were three teams that were launched to pioneer new locations. So it’s happening! Missionaries are being sent from Cambodia.
We are so grateful for each one who has partnered with us through many seasons to help make our vision come true. And we’re so grateful for those of you who will pray and consider joining our team and sending us out to reach the unreached and partner with God as he is transforming the missions field into the missions force.
